Oakville, ON – May 29, 2017 – Complete Concussion Management Inc. (CCMI) welcomes PhysioOutaouais to the network of evidence-based concussion care clinics. From initial pre-season baseline testing to concussion treatment and rehabilitation, CCMI practitioners are trained to provide standardized healthcare solutions to effectively manage concussions, and ensure patients safely return to learn, work and play.
“In an effort to continually improve our services, we partnered with CCMI in 2017 to offer multi-disciplinary concussion care at our Alonzo and Vanier clinics. Given the success of the program, we are launching the service at three more clinics to cover the entire Gatineau area as certified members of one of the largest concussion care networks in Canada,” says Brigitte Gauthier, expert in the field of cerebral concussions, physiotherapist and shareholder of the PhysioOutaouais Alonzo Clinic. “The CCMI training allows us to provide standardized concussion care, including comprehensive baseline testing, which offers a pre-injury overview of healthy brain function. Further, patients can now access recognized CCMI clinics across Canada and receive consistent, quality care, regardless of where they are.”
CCMI provides up to date education and training and research to licensed healthcare practitioners across the network, ensuring that patients receive optimal care. As the concussion landscape continues to evolve, CCMI reviews and assesses research from global sources, and distributes monthly research updates.
“Complete Concussion Management Inc. is designed to provide seamless communication and offer patient support every step of the way, across the network” says Dr. Cameron Marshall, President & CEO, CCMI. “Through injury tracking and reporting with the Concussion Tracker App, healthcare practitioners, coaches, teachers and parents can all receive personalized information for each patient, including for example, next steps for treatment and rehabilitation as well as recommended diet.”
Together, CCMI and PhysioOutaouais hope that this partnership will be a stepping-stone to improving concussion care for all patients in the Gatineau region. PhysioOutaouais now offers three recognized practitioners:
Brigitte Gauthier, PhysioOutaouais, Alonzo Clinic
Stéphane Chambers, PhysioOutaouais, Alonzo Clinic
Martin Gélinas, PhysioOutaouais, Vanier Clinic
